The competition for participation in the International Summer School of Modern Astrophysics is announced
Applications are being accepted through 15 May 2014.
Dmitry Zimin Dynasty Foundation with the assistance of Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology organizes the International School—Tenth Summer School of Modern Astrophysics “X-ray Astronomy and Particle Astrophysics.”
The school will be held 15–26 July 2014 at the Helios Hotel (Zelenogorsk) located an hour drive away from Saint Petersburg downtown.
The school is primarily aimed at graduate students and postdocs and will be limited to about 50 participants.
The working language of the school is English.
This year the summer school covers theory and observations X-ray astronomy, particle astrophysics and PIC simulation. Lectures, practical and laboratory work, and examinations will be held during the school.

Selected participants will be notified by 20 May 2014.
Preference will be given to those actively working in the field of the astrophysics of compact objects.
Full financial support including living and traveling (economy class) expense will be available.
