The 2015 competitions for young theoretical physicists begin

Applications are being accepted through 21 October  2014.

Upper-year college students, graduate students, young scientists with only an undergraduate degree, and candidates and doctors of science specializing in theoretical physics can participate in the competition.
The competitions are conducted in the framework of the Support Program for Physicists–Students, Graduate Students, and Young Scientists with support of the International Center for Fundamental Physics in Moscow.

Grant competition for upper-year physics students

Students in the 4th–6th year specializing in theoretical physics in Russian colleges can participate in the competition.

The Dynasty Foundation considers individual applications from students.
Applications from students who will finish their studies not earlier than four months from the beginning of the 2015 calender year are accepted for the competition.

The best students will be selected competitively and will receive monthly stipends (approximately 5,000 rubles) beginning January 2015.
The total number of grant recipients is 100 including winners from the previous years.

Grant competition for physicists–graduate students and young scientists with only an undergraduate degree

Graduate students and young scientists with only an undergraduate degree younger than 30 years old (born after 1 January 1985) working in Russian scientific Institutions and specializing in theoretical physics can participate in the competition.

The Dynasty Foundation considers individual applications from graduate students and young scientists with only an undergraduate degree.
The best graduate students and young scientists will be selected competitively and will receive monthly stipends (approximately 10,000 rubles) beginning January 2015.
The total number of grant recipients is 100 including winners from the previous years.
The grant is awarded for one year and can be extended for two more years after yearly reports are approved.

Grant competition for physicists–young candidates of science

Young scientists with a candidate's degree and specializing in theoretical physics can participate in the program for positions in Russian scientific institutions on a competitive basis. (The western analogue of the announced positions is the postdoctoral position.) Citizens of Russia and the CIS countries younger than 35 years old (born after 1 January 1980) working in Russian scientific institutions are invited to participate.

Twelve new positions will be competitively financed. Winners will receive monthly stipends (approximately 18,000 rubles) beginning January 2015.
The grant is awarded for one year and extended for two more years after yearly reports are approved.
All else equal, applicants from regional institutions beginning their work in leading scientific groups will have a priority.

Grant competition for physicists–young doctors of science

Young scientists with a doctor's degree and specializing in theoretical physics can participate in the competition.
Citizens of Russia and the CIS countries younger than 45 years old (born after 1 January 1970) working in Russian scientific institutions are invited to participate.

Six positions will be competitively financed. Winners will receive monthly stipends (approximately 24,000 rubles) beginning January 2015.
The grant is awarded for one year and extended for two more years after yearly reports are approved.
