This project was completed in 2014
The winter laboratory training is organized by the Dynasty Foundation with support from the Modern Natural Science Foundation and Konstantin Severinov's laboratory (Institute of Gene Biology (RAS), Moscow).
The 2013 training
The teacher training directed at developing biology in high school will be held in January 2013 during the winter school vacation.
The lecture cycle will be conducted at the scientific center of Konstantin Severinov's laboratory at the Institute of Gene Biology (RAS) in Moscow.
- During the training, the teachers will master the use of instructional lab sets for microbiology, biochemistry, and molecular biology and become acquainted with necessary methodological materials.
- After the course, every participant will receive six different lab sets, each one sufficient for conducting lessons with 24–36 students.
- The teachers will be able to organize lessons for upper-grade students at their schools during the third and fourth school year quarters in the framework of biology clubs (or some other forms of research work) using the lab sets. At the end of the project, the participant teachers will speak about their impressions at the annual teachers' conference of the Dynasty Foundation (July 2013).
Travel and accommodation expenses of the participants are covered by the Dynasty Foundation.
