Dynasty Foundation Grant Recipients and Stipend Winners, 2002–present
Since 2002, the Dynasty Foundation has awarded grants and stipends to young holders of doctoral and kandidat degrees, university students, graduate students, and young scientists without advanced degrees as well as to math and physics teachers from various regions of the Russian Federation—more than 200 people in all.
“The important thing is to spot talent and begin to develop it in school and at university.”
—Dmitry Zimin, founder of Dynasty Foundation
“I have gained a newfound belief in my own strength. And this was a tremendous stimulus to continue my work. I used the grant to buy a computer: now I can communicate with colleagues and get more information. For me this is quite important: I need material for lessons. My pupils are proud that I'm their teacher.”
—Elena Brudnova, math and physics teacher, Morshansk
“A stable and adequate stipend allows me to work calmly on my dissertation. I don't have any kind of part-time job to feed myself; I feel like a "legal" scientist. The Dynasty Foundation's support has made me realize that I can have a scientific career in Russia.”
—Oksana Mishina, graduate student, Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University
“The Dynasty Foundation gave me the "start-up capital" to conduct research in a new area related to the search for a general theory of the synchronization of chaotic oscillations. My name appeared on the website Scientific.Ru in a list of Russian scientists whose works have been cited more than a hundred times.”
—Alexander Khramov, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences
