The White Nights Rally Project

This project was implemented by the Dynasty Foundation jointly with the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), which implements a program aimed at supporting socially important projects — Charitable Motorcycle White Nights Rally.
The program included a number of events, the main event being an international motorcycle rally across Russia. The rally started in Vladivostok on May 2, 2005, and ended in St. Petersburg on June 12, 2005. Its route took in 20 regions of Russia.
Representatives of the European famous aristocratic families participated in the rally: Lord Nicholas Fairfax, a member of the House of Lords; Prince Nicolas von Prussen, the grandson of the German Caesar Wilhelm; Tim von Halle, a descendant of German aristocrats, and others.
Kevin Sanders, an experienced traveler and motorcyclist and the holder of two Guinness Book of Records entries, took part in the race, which was sponsored with participated in and promoted by Prince Michael of Kent. In addition, Boris Zimin, Chairman of the Trustee Board of the Dynasty Foundation, and a number of foreign businessmen and journalists also joined the rally.
The rally had a wonderful spirit of real adventure and turned out to be a bright and unforgettable event for its participants and the numerous spectators along the travelers' route. The rally was widely reported in the regional mass media.
In the course of the event, more than USD 850,000 was donated. The money subsequently went to support various projects related to the provision of assistance for children in Russian regions. In particular, a considerable part of the money was transferred to the account of the Life Lines program aimed at surviving children suffering from serious diseases. Other supported projects include the Talisman, an Irkutsk-based center for severely mentally-handicapped children; construction of a children's hematological center in Vladivostok; the Crossroads, a Moscow-based center for homeless and abandoned children; and many others.
